December at last, and it is the end of the first semester, and that only means one thing: finals season is here, and winter break is just around the corner.
Most of us can’t wait to travel back home for the holidays, myself included, and if there’s one thing, everyone, from children to adults, loves about the holiday season; even if we don’t admit it out loud, of course, these are the presents that come with seeing our loved ones. Some enjoy giving and some adore receiving.
I classify myself as someone that values buying presents, and after last’s year December, I think I can consider myself an expert (at least before) on finding the goods around town. Therefore, here’s a list of Segovia’s hidden gems when it comes to gifts.
First, I’ll start with something for fashion lovers: Cardamomo
Located on the way from Plaza Mayor to the bus stop Colon, Cardamomo is a beautiful clothing store that has a variety, from winter coats and stunning blouses to jewelry pieces and handbags. And a gorgeous collection of cardigans and sweaters.
If you are looking to give or to treat yourself this season with a lovely scarf, a new handbag, or a new cardigan, Cardamomo is the place for you.

Next is Mira Mira
A costume jewelry shop in Segovia, on the way from the Aqueduct to Plaza Mayor, and a personal favorite of mine if I’m being honest. Their designs are unique and stunning from earrings to necklaces, piercings, and bracelets! They are all made of stainless steel depending on the color of the piece and whether they are bathed in gold or not.

Now that we covered the hubs for style and fashion lovers, we go to one that I think is the perfect gift for most nowadays: home goods.
In third spot is La Maison du Savon de Marseille
From the coziest candles to oils, scented soaps, and creams of any kind. As the holiday arrives, it’s the perfect time to visit the store because of its perfect gift sets collection. For some, the ideal gift this winter break is a deserved rest day. Therefore, anything you buy from this store will be essential. The minute you step into the store, you’ll want to take everything with you.

Now for the foodies, we have Sabor a España
Known across Spain for its gourmet products, Sabor an España is the perfect place if you are searching for some typical Spanish sweets with a modern twist. From turron and caramelized popcorn to their red candy apples and (my favorite), caramelized almonds, pistachios, and nuts!
Official address: C. Juan Bravo, 13, 40001 Segovia
Hours: From Monday to Sunday: 11 am-9 pm
There’s also La Morena, Productos típicos
Their menu expands from wines, flavors of cheese and jam, and of course some sweet treats like cookies, liquors, honey, and some Segovian classics.

Hours: From Monday to Sunday: 10:00 am-8:00 pm
But ultimately if you are still not convinced, it’s time for the classic for us IE Students, since every time we go, we can’t help but buy ourselves something.
Flying Tiger
Originally from Denmark, I believe Flying Tiger is the place where you will find anything, literally. Think of something and you will likely find it in that store, and if you don’t find it, I can guarantee you will exit the store with something cute or practical. And now during this holiday season, Flying Tiger is the perfect place to make some festive purchases, for yourself or for others.
From simple toys to board games, home utilities, Christmas decorations, the best sweet snacks, and even school supplies, Flying Tiger is too pretty for words!
