There is nothing better than being able to get together with our friends and family for these long-awaited holidays. You probably already have that Christmas dinner and that New Year’s reunion planned long ago, but why not give it a special touch this time? These gatherings are already very special, but taking the time to prepare a sweet to share with your loved ones will show them just how much you care.

These are 3 dessert recipes you can try to make your holiday plans more significant and special:

MOSAIC GELATIN 

Gelatina mosaico

Ingredients:

  •         35 g of grape-flavored gelatin
  •         35 g of strawberry-flavored gelatin 
  •         35 g of lemon-flavored gelatin 
  •         35 g of pineapple-flavored gelatin 
  •         8 cups of hot water
  •         1 can of condensed milk
  •         1 can of evaporated milk
  •         1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  •         4 envelopes of unflavored gelatin (7 g each)    dissolved in 1/2 cup of water and melted in a water bath

Instructions:

  1. Dissolve each of the flavored gelatins in two cups of hot water
  2. Pour them separately into rectangular molds and refrigerate
  3. After they set, remove them from the refrigerator and cut them into cubes
  4. Combine and place in a lightly greased gelatin mold
  5. Blend the condensed milk with the evaporated milk and the vanilla essence
  6. Add the previously dissolved unflavored gelatin to the mixture little by little
  7. Pour the mixture into the mold with the squares of the flavored gelatins 
  8. Refrigerate until set, then unmold and serve

STRAWBERRY BAVAROIS

Ingredients:

  •        1 can of condensed milk
  •        1 can of evaporated milk
  •        2 cups of water
  •        1 kilogram of strawberry in puree
  •        3 whites (snow point) 
  •        3 yolk (beaten)
  •        3 teaspoons of unflavored gelatin
  •        1 cup of cold water
  •        1/2 cup of whipping cream to decorate
  •        8 pieces of strawberry to decorate
  •        3/4 cup of tapioca

Instructions:

  1. Heat the condensed milk with the evaporated milk and the water
  2. When it boils add the tapioca and leave over low heat until transparent
  3. Separately, mix the strawberries and the yolks
  4. Add it with the unflavored gelatin previously dissolved in water to the first mixture
  5. Let it cool little and then mix the whites at snow point in an enveloping way
  6. Empty into a mold and refrigerate until set
  7. Unmold and decorate with the whipped cream and additional strawberries as you like

APPLE PIE WITH MARSHMALLOWS

 Ingredients:

  •     68 g of butter
  •     1 can of condensed milk
  •     2 yolks
  •     1 1/4 cup of wheat flour
  •     1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  •     1/2 cup of walnuts

For the filling:

  •     4 pieces of yellow apple peeled and cut into cubes
  •     1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
  • 1 cup of small white marshmallows
  •     1 egg (beaten)
  •    2 teaspoons of sugar
  •    1/2 can of condensed milk 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C
  2. For the dough, mix the butter with the condensed milk until it is fully integrated.
  3. Add the egg yolks and gradually add the flour previously mixed with the baking powder and the walnut
  4. Continue mixing until smooth, then wrap the dough in non-stick plastic and refrigerate for 15 minutes
  5. On a floured table, spread the dough using a rolling pin
  6. Put the dough in a pie tin previously greased and floured
  7. Trim the edges and chop the entire surface with a fork
  8. Store the remaining dough wrapped in plastic in the refrigerator
  9. Mix the condensed milk, apples, cinnamon and marshmallows in a bowl
  10. Empty the mixture into the pie tin covered with the dough
  11. Spread the remaining dough and cut small pieces with the help of a cookie cutter
  12. Place them on the surface of the cake, glaze with the egg and sprinkle with the sugar
  13. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until the apples are soft. Don’t let the dough brown too much
  14. Let the cake cool, then unmold and serve
