On the 19th of May was The Finale: Social Mingling, Outdoors Fun & Farewell at the Creativity Center in Segovia.
Elly’s Light, the music club band of our university, held their highly anticipated final concert, marking the end of a great year. The band also planned an album showcase before this special occasion, demonstrating their hard work and skill.
The concert was outdoors on the patio in front of the entrance of The Creativity Center, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone in attendance. Everyone will remember this concert thanks to its varied repertoire and participation from different singers.
The space, outdoor with a façade backdrop, made it possible for the crowd to appreciate the band’s music and enjoy the company of each other. Elly’s Light gave everyone a memorable experience as they performed on stage for the final time, displaying their enthusiasm and dedication.
Elly’s Light showcased their ability by performing songs such as Crazy by Gnarls Barkley, Minha Vida by Rita Lee, and I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor during the evening. Different tracks featured varying lead singers, and the students put on engaging performances. Everyone enjoyed the band’s music, which ranged from expressive anthems to emotional ballads.
One of those singers was Clara Zsigmond, who had a memorable and outstanding performance. I asked her some questions about being part of the concert:
Nisa S: How was the process of getting ready for the concert? Did you find it enjoyable?
Clara Z: Yes, getting ready for the show was fun! The rehearsals were a nice break from the hectic pace of the finals, so it was always nice to get away a bit.
N.S.: What was the most memorable moment of the event for you?
C. Z.: When the slideshow started. It was really special to relive the times we had together this year that I had not revisited in a long time! It made me feel very nostalgic for when we first met and everything we have created together.
Finally, the final concert of Elly’s Light proved to be a good experience. The band gave a grand farewell concert, an event that showcased their talent and the enjoyment they brought to the university events, and they had a moment of remembering the journey they had been together.
The outdoor area provided a relaxed atmosphere for students to gather and enjoy the music.
